ANNOUNCEMENTS

This week we join the congregations of the Allegheny Synod in prayer for our congregation, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Grove Mills.

Your help is needed  after worship on Sunday to organize the Rummage Sale merchandize. Contact Jill Lemke or Linda Rosensteel.  St. Paul Rummage and Bake Sale starts on Wednesday, August 15. Rummage sale items are accepted anytime from now until Tuesday and can be placed in Rohrbaugh Hall.  If you don’t have a key fob, please arrange with the church secretary (237-2081) to come when she is there or make an appointment with Linda Rosensteel (880-6058) to meet you there. Bring Bake sale items to the church any morning of the sale.

Please pick up a copy of Your Opinion Counts located on the table in the narthex. Ferguson Township is taking a survey of how residents and businesses can actively engage in the process to help figure out what is important in our area. How it fits into the larger community, and how to address issues or concerns of particular importance. The process includes how to recognize the context of broader goals of community-wide and regional planning efforts and contains a series of realistic actions to implement the plan.  Please fill out the survey and return to the church office.  Pastor Paul is one of the members of this team.

We are collecting wedding anniversaries and birthdates the persons in our congregation. Please add your dates to the sheet on the narthex table.

Your help is needed with worship services in August. Please check you’re calendars as to when you are available then check the sign up on the table in the narthex to see available spots open for the August 19, and August 26.

Fellowship Sunday is next Sunday, August 19 and your help is needed. If you can help host in any capacity, please contact Linda Rosensteel.

Are you interested in becoming a prayer partner?  A sign-up sheet is on the narthex table to become a prayer partner with another person. See Jill Lemke or Linda Muthler for more details.

Stewardship Snippet: Aug. 12, 2018–Ephesians 4:31,32 – Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
As God’s called and blessed community, Christians live by different rules than “the world,” which is too-often angry and blameful. We are good stewards of community and relationships when we do our best to live with kindness and love.
