How to dress
We have people who come to worship dressed in suits as well as people in jeans and t-shirts. It is even okay if you wear your work clothing. Whatever we wear, we are happy to spend time with you and Jesus.
Related to this, Pastor Paul dresses in a white robe called an “alb.” The alb was a baptismal garment all baptized Christians received in the early Church and symbolized that baptism washed the believers in the blood of the Jesus. In the early Church, all Christians wore albs to worship. This meant that regardless of their wealth or occupation (factors that influenced the clothing they would wear in day-to-day life), they were one people gathered together by God.
The first disciples were not wearing fancy clothing when Jesus changed their lives by calling them to follow him. Therefore, whatever you wear, Jesus comes to meet you.
