This Sunday is Fellowship Sunday: Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share in Rohrbaugh Hall following worship.
Stewardship Snippet for Nov. 18, 2018: Psalm 16:11 – You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. As we grow in spiritual maturity, steward/disciples learn ever more deeply the difference between the fleeting, shallow happiness the world offers and the rich, satisfying joy and pleasures of our life in God.
The Property Team is having an indoor work session at the church next Tuesday, November 20 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. We are looking for volunteers to help tidy up the church for the holiday season. Although we would like to focus on the sanctuary, if we have enough help, there is work to be done throughout the church. Sanctuary: clean under the pews, vacuum the pew cushions, vacuum the window screens in the sanctuary, clean cob webs, dust as need. Throughout the church: Organize the attic, clean screens and windows throughout church, clean cob webs.
WELCA ANNOUNCEMENTS: The WELCA Christmas Party fun time is on December 9 (note the change on your schedule). Everyone is encouraged to bring something to share for lunch. Also gathering items to put in totes for Centre Safe. We are collecting personal items for men and women for Centre Safe (formerly Women’s Resource Center). Everyone in the congregation is invited to donate items.

December volunteers for worship are needed: Check out the list and please prayerfully consider how you might serve on a given Sunday and sign up on the sheet on the table in the narthex.
Poinsettia Orders: Order your Christmas Eve poinsettia now! See the sign-up sheet in the narthex. Large ($14.50) or small ($8.00) sizes are available in white, red, or pink, and may be designated in honor or memory of someone. The poinsettias will decorate the church for the Christmas Eve service, and may be taken home immediately after that service. Orders must be placed by Sunday, December 2. Please make your payment using your offering envelope, and mark “Poinsettia” on both your check and envelope. Please write or print plainly.
Reminder: We have a donation box in the narthex for donations to the State College Food Bank. Since we have a monthly fellowship, bringing your food bank donation on that Sunday is a routine you might want to establish. ALLEGHENY SYNOD PRAYER FOR NOVEMBER 2018: Giving Thanks For The Gifts God Has Given Us
“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;5and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord;6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone”—1 Corinthians 12:4-6
Give thanks for the gifts the Holy Spirit has enacted in you through your baptism. Pray for discernment in how best to use your gifts in your congregation and community. Give thanks for the members of your congregation and the ways they use their gifts to expand that ministry of your congregation. Pray for new opportunities to use your gifts to share the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus.
How is the Holy Spirit guiding you to help others through your abundance?
