This Sunday, June 2, we celebrate the Ascension of Our Lord. Holy Communion will be at the altar. Sunday school class for children is finished for the summer and will resume in the Fall.

Attorney Megan Will of the Allegheny Synod will present a seminar on Making a Will at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Grove Mills, PA, Sunday, June 9 at 2:00 PM. The program is free and open to all.

Church secretary Karin Lowry and Linda Rosensteel are recruiting help with scheduling worship participants. We are looking for individuals who would contact one category of volunteers for slots that haven’t been filled in on the signup sheets. For instance, one person would contact assisting ministers for open dates and another person would contact ushers for open dates. Contacts may be made in person, by phone or by email. The Pine Grove Mills Farmers Market begins June 13 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM and is in need of adult volunteers with a current driver’s license to direct traffic and sometimes document data on market visitors. If you are interested, please contact Linda Rosensteel or Sally Kolesar.
The St. Paul Nominating Committee has begun our work to identify the slate for electing council members for the two-year term beginning January 2020. Nominating committee members are Delorse Homan, Eleanor Bird, Jill Lemke, Judy Wills, and Molly Schueltz. We will soon be reaching out to prospective nominees to ask that they prayerfully consider serving in this important role. Food Items for the State College Food Bank can be brought to the church any time, but a good time to remember is on Fellowship Sunday.

Gluten-Free Products (any kind, but especially pasta, cereal, etc. Canned Pears and/or Pineapple, Stewed Tomatoes, Spaghetti Sauce, Sloppy JJoe/Manwich sauce, Baking mix, condiments, oil, salt, Pepper, and Spices, Canned Meats (tuna, chicken, Spam, other canned fish), Shampoo & Conditioner, feminine hygiene products.
