Stewardship Snippet — April 14, 2019Luke 22:19, 20 –Then Jesus took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.” What has God given us? Everything, holding back nothing. We celebrate this with Eucharist, when we mystically commune with God’s very body and blood.

Holy Communion will be offered by intinction. Sunday school is at 9:30 AM. each week.

Contact Bonnie McMiniment at 238-2678 or email her at   Donations are needed by April 21 at the latest.

What does the “Reserve Fund” mean on your offering envelopes? The Congregation Council would like to inform you or remind you that donations to the Reserve Fund are used for unexpected needs, especially such things as a new roof or a disaster. Some of those funds were to offset the expenses of our recent remodel due to the flood. Currently we have a number of upcoming projects in addition to the organ repair, which is a budgeted expense for 2019. Council recently approved two projects that were not budgeted – the purchase of a “smart valve” to prevent future flooding and a new heating/air conditioner unit for the office suite (the AC unit is no longer functioning). Another property need, which was not approved by Council, is the repair of the parking lot and sidewalk curbs. This is an obvious need that cannot be postponed indefinitely. We encourage you to continue your generous donations to the General Fund, but we also wanted to make you aware of why we have a Reserve Fund.
