Stewardship Snippet – Dec. 9, 2018
Philippians 1:9-11 – And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless, having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God. Love is the theme for the Second Sunday in Advent. When we cultivate love in our lives as steward/disciples, it does overflow and guide our lives on the paths of strength and joy.
This Sunday is the Second Sunday in Advent. Holy Communion will be by intinction.
This week we join the churches in the Allegheny Synod in praying for St. Luke Lutheran Church in Rockwood.

From Budget and Finance: As the end of the year approaches, we think about Christmas gifts and, sometimes, end of the year donations for tax purposes. As you consider charities, please remember St Paul. As of the end of October, we are shy of our budgeted giving for the year. An addition to your weekly or monthly contribution will help. What shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me? Psalm 116:12
